SHOUTOUT SOCAL article

Thank you to TLCA Member and Artist Melissa Woodburn for nominating Nadia Tarzi-Saccardi to be interviewed by Shoutout SoCal .

About Shoutout SoCal

Every day Shoutout SoCal asks its contributors and interviewees questions designed to spark meaningful conversations.  They ask questions about life, work, love, parenting, finances, and more. Questions like how you think about risk-taking, work-life balance, or online dating. They ask entrepreneurs why they started their business and they ask artists what their work is inspired by.

Profiles North Bay 2024

I am thrilled to share with you the story about the Terra Linda Ceramic Artists, featured in the Bohemian and Pacific Sun publications: Profiles North Bay 2024 "Faces of the NORTH BAY 2024". Honored to be "The Face" of Ceramics Education and Artistic Expression.

A word from  North Bay Bohemian, Daedalus Howell, Co-Editor & Simone Wilson, Co-Editor

Welcome to our inaugural issue of Profiles—a magazine dedicated to highlighting the people who make the North Bay the extraordinary place it is. Throughout, we shine a light on those who have managed to rise above the humdrum of daily life in Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties and impress us with their vision—not to mention their knack for simply being interesting.

So, sit back, relax and prepare to meet the remarkable individuals from Sonoma, Napa and Marin who are defining the area on their terms. They’ve pivoted, they’ve innovated—and most importantly, they’ve kept us inspired.

Faces of the NORTH BAY 2024 begins page 21 and our story is on page 43. Here is the link to read about us, enjoy! Faces of the NORTH BAY 2024

The TLCA show at the
37th California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts

After 37 years of tradition the John Natsoulas Center for the Arts is proud to continue the largest sculptural ceramics conference in the world. Conceived by the need for dialogue and direct interaction between artists and students, CCACA 2024 brings the ultimate ceramic sculpture event to Davis, CA. In an intimate setting, you can interact with top artists in a way not possible elsewhere. Local galleries and over 30 college exhibitions  bring the best work of the year within easy reach. These shows run concurrent with CCACA 2024.  It is a one of a kind conference not to be missed for anyone and particularly for ceramic aficionados!

Totems are common in spiritual traditions and found in many different cultures. They can describe societal-tribal-family roles, responsibilities, relationships, history, important events, legends and myths, the cycles of life and death, nature, and the cosmos. Totems can simply be aesthetically pleasing without a specific purpose. In this show, more than 30 TLCArtists will share their interpretation of a totem, these might stand, hang or take on unusual shapes. Don't miss it!
